Incident Scene Clean-Up
Why Do I Need Incident Scene Cleanup?
After a self-defense incident, cleanup costs for biohazards and medical waste can be significant. Once the scene is released, professionals are needed to handle the cleanup, adhering to state and federal regulations from agencies like OSHA and the EPA. These costs, often in the thousands, fall on the homeowner or property owner.
Your Incident Scene Cleanup Coverage
The Incident Scene Cleanup benefit covers the cleanup of biological hazards, and will pay reasonable and necessary costs up to $5,000.

Incident Scene Clean Up
Incidents involving the use of a weapon can often be chaotic and may require the assistance of a biological HazMat team to properly clean and disinfect the scene. If it becomes the responsibility of our member to handle the cleanup, Firearms Legal Protection (FLP) will cover the costs of hiring a HazMat team, up to $5,000.
Additionally, our emergency response team will quickly coordinate with the biological cleaning team to ensure they arrive at the scene as soon as allowed by crime scene investigators.
